Flagstaff Arizona

Coming up from Phoenix, as we neared Flagstaff, the view of the San Francisco peaks overwhelmed the skyline. Needless to say, I decided I wanted to make my way up to the summit. (These pics are actually on our way back from Meteor Crater.)
No complaining about the speed limit from us!
There is a ski hill up in the San Francisco peaks, so we made our way up. They keep the lift open in the summer to allow tourists to get up to 11,500 feet, the top of the ski operation. From there, one can trek to a lookout at 12,633. Unfortunately, the lift closed at 4pm, and we arrived at around 5pm, so we were limited to views from approximately 9300 feet.
