One of the games one plays when at the Grand Canyon is trying to catch a glimpse of the Colorado River as it snakes between the various gorges. Amy won the game, she seemed to spot the river many more times than I did, and took photos to prove it.
I can officially say I put my feet in the Colorado River within the Grand Canyon, and it was Newfoundland cold!

Guess where we were?
The new Harry Potter film was opening on the Sunday, complete with red carpet at Grumman's Chinese Theatre, and all of the stars attending. Too bad we were on our way to San Diego when this was to take place.
On board the USS Midway, a WWII carrier that lasted to see service in the first gulf war. Across the harbour was the newer USS Reagan, getting a refurb.
