Painting - Thursday, 07 February ---

Tony and Vladimir are almost done. The walls of all the bedrooms are 99% done. The master bathroom was done, until we decided we didn't like what we did for the ceiling(had painted it the same terracotta as the master bedroom walls, now will paint it the base colour of the bathroom walls), mostly just trim and window sill and doors to finish.
As can be seen, we went with the "smooshing" faux finish in the master bathroom as was done in the guest bathroom. The colour closely matches the floor tiles, and has a tinge of colour similar to the wall tiles.

The master bedroom is my favourite colour of all the rooms, terracotta(although Tony removed some of the yellow inherent in terracotta). To avoid the introduction of another colour in the room, Tony applied a transparent glaze as faux finish. This gives the illusion of "silk and satin" common with ragging without hiding the beauty of the terracotta underneath.

The office also had transparent glaze applied. What a beautiful green, probably my second favourite colour in the house!

At the present, with the furniture stacked in the middle of the room, there isn't much light to get a decent pic of the colour in Amy's room, nor the guest bedroom.

An idea of the guest bedroom.

We decided to paint the guest bathrrom ceiling the yellow that is the base coat on the walls. I found the white ceiling too distracting from the new colour applied.
