Painting - Wednesday, 06 February ---
A busy day as Tony and Vladimir finally made it upstairs.
Not easy to see, but the guest bedroom primary coat was applied, and a sample of the ragging colour put on for Amy's approval when she returns from work.
To try to keep some symmetry between the guest bedroom and Amy's puppy room, Tony is using the guest bedroom's base colour as the faux finish in Amy's room, and likewise using the base in Amy's room for the faux finish in the guest bedroom.
The plan for the guest bathroom was a yellow base with a darker yellow colour for ragging. However, Tony changed his mind, and "smooshed" this room, and the results are fantastic!
The master bedroom gets it's first coat of terracotta. Tony applied a yellow paint for ragging, which Amy does not want. Tony's idea now is to apply a clear glaze for the faux finish, gives a 'satin' effect without introducing another colour.
A sample of the master bathroom. Basically a lighter shade of the terracotta used in the master bedroom. Sounds like Tony wants to "smoosh" this too. I let him do his thing lest he walk out on us all upset!
Some more pics of the completed family room.
The kitchen. Notice how Tony extended the ragging from the family room into the kitchen on top of the cabinets.
One more of the downstairs hallway to see how the colours blend.
