The hallway was started first. We had no idea what colour to use, so Tony the painter picked his own, which turned out to be perfect for us.
The pillar was another of Tony's ideas. The Living Room is not the same colour as the hallway. See below.
The Living Room. We had picked a different colour(kind of mustardy), but Tony didn't approve(No soup for you!), and so did his own colour. Artists are moody creatures.
For the pillar, we let Tony decide. He used a "smooshing" faux finish, and it looks brilliant!
One of the reasons we chose Tony for painting is that he is one of the few that will apply a faux finish. As such, we have many rooms, including the hallway, which will be "ragged"
The Family Room and kitchen will be done in the same yellow-mustard colour. The family room will be ragged, whereas the kitchen will be a solid colour.
How colours will look next to each other, kinda!
