Amy and I decided to save some money by removing the carpeting ourselves, and prepping the sub-floor for hardwood install.
We spent most of Sunday stripping down the family room and living room, both our backs hurt, but it saved us some $$!
This is how the Family Room looked before we brought out the crowbar!
The furniture gets piled up in the kitchen as the Family Room is emptied
Off comes the carpet, under-padding, and removal of the tack boards(the cats found this highly entertaining!)
Now it is the Living Room's turn. Before:
After. This room took much longer as we had to move the hundred's of CD's into the basement, and I had to take the stereo apart. It was spaghetti-city behind the stereo stand!
